The vanity of loving fine clothes and new fashion, and placing value on ourselves because them, is one of the most childish pieces of folly!
[Editor's note: We can just as easily add our fine houses, cars, hobbies etc., etc. to Hale's list of “childish pieces of folly”.]
“those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them.
