The Puritan must be vigilant in the cultivation of the mind and the heart, filling them with the truths of God’s Word and the graces of His Spirit. Let us not allow the gates of our minds and hearts to be breached by the enemy, but let us fortify them with the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit, that we may stand firm against the wiles of the devil.
